The departure of a loved one and the subsequent grief experienced by those left behind,
is an inevitable and profound sadness.
Regardless of one's belief in an afterlife,
the shock of death sets off a grieving process that can last a lifetime.
However, the perspective of the departed soul is very different.
On returning to the spirit world, our true home,
the soul is reunited with loved ones who have gone before us or with soulmates we may have missed in our previous earthly existence because of different incarnations.
This reunion is a hugely joyous occasion.
